A few years back, we lived in Carlton, in a small apartment with no washer.
Every week we spent an hour in an old, stark, brightly lit coin laundry — sitting on hard plastic chairs with no music, no love. The kind of place where the owner clearly had no interest in the business or the people using it. Flickering lights. White noise. Zero joy.
One year, the owner abandoned it. And by chance — or fate, or just the desperate need for clean clothes — we stumbled into the launderette business.
We put on some tunes. We made coffee and food. Not rocket science, but hell, we just wanted to make it better. More sort of, leisurely. There was Jenga involved. People hung out. Voluntarily.
Our unique contribution to the laundromat model uses our IT background to automate and control as many aspects as we can from our smartphones — allowing us to provide the best customer service experience in the industry. We can fix most machine problems remotely, send you SMS alerts when your cycle finishes, and monitor everything in real time so you never have to wonder what's going on.
Basically, we want to keep doing that. We're so happy to bring this to Altona, Brunswick, Grovedale, Hawthorn, Richmond and Torquay. Our Torquay store is fitted with the latest payment software — now accepting every form of cashless payment, with wireless charging and comfy seating. We are the only laundromat accessible from Geelong, Lorne, Anglesea, Bells Beach, Barwon Heads and Bellbrae. Come visit us on your way to the stunning Great Ocean Road.
Happy Laundry Day.
